Wearing clothing that's too tight means the fabric rubs against your skin, which disrupts the skin barrier that may protect you from infections, explains Josh Zeichner, M.D., a dermatologist and the director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City. Skintight clothes make you sweat more, which creates a welcoming environment for viral, fungal, and bacterial infections, such as folliculitis, which can turn hair follicles into icky red pimple-like bumps.
Folliculitis is an inflammation of hair follicles caused by a bacterium or fungus that is already on the skin. Tight clothes case this bacterium to push up deeper in the skin which encourages infection and prevents sweating. Wearing looser clothes that help evaporate the sweat from the skin will certainly reduce any folliculitus or similar conditions occurring. In some cases, infectious folliculitis can progress to boils, a painful deeper inflammation in the skin which may need to be lanced to get rid of pus by your doctor.

Another symptom caused by tight clothing is Candida Yeast infection. Candida Yeast infection is an infection that is very common today. Yeast infection causes soreness or itching in the vagina and this would eventually cause pain when you urinate or during sex. Candida usually occurs in the moist parts of your body like the mouth, digestive tract and vagina. One of the most common problem wearing tight fitting pants like skinny jeans is yeast infections. Yeast thrive in moist environments and it is mostly due to tight clothing.
You can also get Heat Bumps when you start sweating which can develop in to pimples on the skin. Inner thighs suffer from excessive sweating and this can often lead to pimples on the inner thighs. Sweat tries to block pores on the skin and this prevents the skin to breathe. Sweat bumps or heat rash is the common causes of skin problems due to tight pants.
